Photocards by Peakstarz

Here's my latest collection of Photocards. What is a Photocard? Its a way for me to share my pretty shots i taken in my 'Eat Pray Shoot' adventure! Instead of posing pictures in the IT/Social Media/etc way, I choose to select the prettiest and frame them up using a nice paper frame. Each frame reflects a different mode and definitely my very own creation.  Let me know which one is your favourites! They will be up for sale at MAAD event this coming Friday Oct 7th. Watch my blog for more updates!

Design 1: The Coast
Photograph of Santorini Coastal view , designed with a romantic theme of golden sash, topped with golden bells, brown satin ribbon roses and gems. Santorini is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece and one should really visit once in a lifetime! As you look at the deep blue sea contrasted by the magnificent mountain cliffs, you can’t help but wish that your loved ones are there admiring the scenery with you!

Design 2: Autumn Tree
Photograph of a tree in Tokyo during Autumn season. Bare branches are feeling lazy in this season, without the deep greenleaves and pretty flowers company. Fear not, the fabric green leaves are here to accompany this lonely Autumn Tree!

Design 3: Wish you were here
Photograph of Cape Sounion, Athens, Greece. Featured here is the Temple of Poisedon, the god of sea in classical Greek mythodology. Once you stand in front of this old temple, you can’t help but to feel the need to say your vows to your dearest one, witnessed by the great coast and carefree seagulls. This piece is topped with a nice purple cord, with double hearts accessories and bells hanging at the top right hand corner, representing love and well wishes. Wish you were here...A true piece for the true romanticist!

Design 4: Jungle River
Photograph of River on Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. This jungle themed piece is a crowded one! Flowers, ferns and leaves are placed around the photograph to celebrate the joy of life along the river! A pretty delicate butterfly gives a complete finish to this piece by resting itself at the bottom left, enjoying the view of the river and the flowers. A great piece for the nature-lovers!

Design 5: Zeus said HI!
Photograph of Sunset in Santorini, Greece. One of the rarest moment a photographer can capture! It was an early evening when the sun was about to set in spring time. The cold front brought a thick layer of clouds and the sun was trying its best to shine through the clouds. It finally did! And the strongest ray of light made it through and brought about a wonderful reflection in the lake in front of my very eyes. Zeus said Hi! This piece is topped with simple natural raffia string with several blue/white wooden pegs, representing the famous colours of Santorini. A cute little chalkboard shouts the name of this design.

Design 6: Padi 米
Photograph of Padi seedings in Sapa, Vietnam. Hiking in this area gave me very good insights. Rice is a staple of many Asian cultures. We take for granted how affordable rice is in this area. I witnessed how much work is required while staying in that area for 2 days. While thinking of a way to complete the look of the rice, I used rice grains to form the word of Rice in Chinese (米) and it hit me how pictorial Chinese writing is. I could complete the word by using different grains of rice. The character looks like a flower as well! Sometimes we need to be reminded the simple joy of eating rice and going back to our very own roots to appreciate our own culture. :)

Design 7: Fly Away
Photograph of Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Ride, Turkey. It was one of the most exhilarting experience I have ever had. If you like the landscape of the huge valleys and the sight of hot air balloon, and if you are a proven 'UP' fan, this card is for you! Fly away.

Design 8: Pinky stars
Photographs of my good friends in Polaroid pictures. If you are sweet natured and love pretty laces and stars, this is the perfect fit to fit your own pictures! The best effect is to have pretty shots of you and your pals!

Design 9: Fun nature
This is an old childhood picture of my sister and I, contributed from my mommy. She wanted me to make a frame that gives a cheerful and fun mood to the picture. I topped it up with 2 cute monkey pegs to bring up the 'monkeyness' cheekiness we had when we were kids. Fun framecard for children's pictures!

Design 10: Say your vows

Design 11: Fly me to the moon/stars/sun?
